Non-golfers have plenty of options
Don’t feel like teeing off? There are many other ways to enjoy your time at the club. Explore the natural beauty of the Black Hills National Forest with walking paths right from the course. Take a ride in an off-road vehicle down 700 miles of dedicated ORV trails. Watch the big game in our clubhouse, or enjoy some food and drinks on our expansive sundeck. We provide lots of alternatives so you can make the day your own.

Boulder Canyon has high-quality rental clubs available for men, women, and children, including left-handed sets. Our golf shop also provides the latest in accessories and apparel. Talk with your event planner about arranging pin prizes, souvenirs, or custom clothes with your group’s unique design.
A Sample Three-Day Itinerary for Group Golf Outings
Before your visit
Boulder Canyon will communicate with you about final details for your trip. It’s a good idea to arrange accommodations well in advance, especially if you’re visiting during an event like the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally or Deadwood Jam.
There’s nothing more convenient than staying in Apple Springs, a residential resort situated around Boulder Canyon Golf Club. Rent a luxury vacation home for your entire party, and you’ll only be minutes away from the area’s best entertainment in Deadwood and Sturgis. You’ll find other recommended hotels in our area guides.
Day One
Get settled into your rental or hotel room, then get excited about your trip. You don’t have to wait until the day of your golf outing to visit Boulder Canyon. Swing by the course and spend some time on the driving range and practice greens. Then, relax at The Sports Bar and Grill and take in the incredible view of the Black Hills National Forest.
Deadwood and Sturgis offer a variety of dining options, from upscale to downhome. Plan a meal for your group, and review our recommendations for saloons, casinos, and tourist attractions in the area guides.
Day Two
It’s time to tee off at Boulder Canyon Golf Club. Your event planner will be on-site to take care of any extras you’ve requested, like setting up catering, arranging pin prizes, and getting your swag bags ready.
Your job is to have fun. Walk the course. Take in the immaculate greens, wild grass meadows, and ponderosa pines. Know that you made the right decision in choosing to be here.
After your round, explore more of what the area has to offer. Whether it’s rock climbing, fishing, and hiking or spas, music, and local attractions, there’s something for everyone. In the evening, we recommend checking out the nightlife in Deadwood. It’s an easily walkable town with plenty to see and do.
Day Three
Today is a day for adventure. Take a trip to Mount Rushmore, Devil’s Tower, or the Badlands National Park. Alternatively, ride the area’s ORV-only trails, or coast down the scenic highways of the Black Hills. End things back in town with another delicious meal – and start talking about your next trip together.
